Mid-Week Stand-Up: Jay Larson "Food In A Movie Theater"
Growing up, I was always uptight about smuggling food or whatever into a movie theater. The prices are wayyy too overpriced obviously, but I always felt that some Big Brother type shit was going to go down. I'm in the middle of watching Waterboy then boom - I'm whisked away by some bellhop looking bastard with a strong case of the pizza face.
The most I ever stole as a kid were those stickers on top of those Dannon yogurt cups in the dairy aisle. In retrospect it was a bad move as I probably ruined the incentive to buy that sub-par product. Movie theater food was on another level for me. I framed it as some Ocean 11 type operation when in reality it was just tucking some Reese's Pieces under a heavy flannel.
