With His Latest Tweet, Le'Veon Bell Is Not Long For This Pittsburgh World
This is confusing on several levels. First, what in Le'Veon's mind makes him think that he's a hero to Pittsburgh? That he wants a bigger contract? That's called trying to be shrewd and alienating your fans and team. You're not saving people from a burning Carnegie Science Center or fighting the riff-raff that swarms the very desolate streets of downtown (fun fact: there's barely any riff-raff downtown at night that needed to be fought.)

You aren't Batman. You're a professional athlete that already gets paid a boatload of cash who's really good at his job, but who also doesn't show up to practices, gets suspended twice and let's face it, is a running back with an injury history. You've proven zip, nada, nothing to get a monstrous extension -- quite the contrary, to be exact. Best in the league? I'd wager on it, but all this other peripheral B.S. is not worth the hassle or the distraction for what's supposed to be a top franchise in all of sports.
I may not be one, but Steeler fans do not appreciate a crybaby hometown athlete. They dig someone who sheds a tear for their home turf, not because of it. I hope he still has that DQ application handy, because this isn't something that's going to just float on down the Monongahela. If the coaching staff develops any sense, they'd find something to do with Bell and that shouldn't include suiting him up in shoulder pads - even if he zips the chirping.
