Fleury's Return To Pittsburgh Was A Grand Moment For Marc-Andre & The Steel City

Fleury's Return To Pittsburgh Was A Grand Moment For Marc-Andre & The Steel City

Videos like the one above gives you what makes competitive sports truly great. The raw emotion that you get from not just the fans, but from Fleury himself exemplifies how much Flower met to the city of Pittsburgh and you could tell that the feeling was mutual.  This isn't just a Penguins fanboy echoing these sentiments out of a Penguins megaphone like I'm some yinzer Jimmy Hart, but that's what you get when a professional athlete meshes with a city so well. And let's not forget that Shazier moment either.

The game itself didn't wax as poetic at it did for Flower at the beginning but it sure exemplified the fire power of both teams. Hot damn, the Malkin and Kessel acronym should be donned "Mortal Kombat" because those two connecting lead to some flawless goal scoring. Their time on the ice together mesh as smooth as Eli & Odell's dance chemistry.

Also, how alternate universe does it feel to see Crosby shoot against Fleury? Just a mind-bending visual...

Really some bizarro world stuff going down.  One thing is certain, when you have guys like Ian Cole & Ryan Reaves threading the puck like they did, you know that your hockey club is in a real hot spot.

Just a straight up awesome night in Pittsburgh. Great to have Fleury back and how perfect would it be if both of these teams are fortunate enough to meet up in June? That's another reunion I'd like to see.
