Hey! The Jets Maintain The Lead In The 4th Quarter For Once
Oh, what a wonderful Thursday Night Football game last night. My New York Jets stay in the mix by beating those divisional rival Bills thanks to penalties galore and missed opportunities (not what you normally want to hang your hat on if you're a professional football team). That D-line meant business, the run game had a little pep in it's step, the receivers were clicking and ol' Treadwell McCown had some stride in his glide (could be problematic since he's 38, but let's keep them fingers crossed he refrains from getting his block knocked off). Just a super satisfying win for a squad that was expected to put up a goose-egged win column for 2017. They've got the Bucs next week then a bye the week after, but then have the Chiefs, Broncos, Saints and Pats down the pipeline. Gonna be real tough slog, but that's the trials of the pigskin.
And I said it before and I'll say it again, Tony Romo is dynamite in the broadcast booth. He's smooth, smart and quick enough to give a good breakdown of what happens between the hashmarks and on the sidelines. You can even tell Jim Nantz digs what he's doing.
May they miss out on the Sam Darnold sweepstakes? Looks that way, but who knows what kind of crazy wheeling and dealing will come at season's end when you got a dude named Woody pulling the strings.
