LaVar Ball Is The Trump Of Basketball

LaVar Ball Is The Trump Of Basketball

It takes me a lot to get into the NBA. Cavs-Warriors last year that got me pretty good, probably the most in 10 years but not near the caliber of Jordan vs. Sonics, Jordan vs. Jazz era.

Then comes LaVar Ball having a pissing contest with everyone and any one in the universe of basketball, most recently with Kristine Leahy on The Herd With Colin Cowherd, who by all accounts is one of the most knowledgeable basketball mind under the Fox Sports 1 umbrella. LaVar in all of his underachieving bravado, doesn't even look her way when she asks him how many of his Baller Brand Shoes he has swindled into people's arms, telling her to "stay in her lane" calls her a "Hate-ER" (pure disrespect to put emphasis on the "er" there) and then kind of threatens her. Very weird. Also he does one of the worst moves someone with any sort of fame can do in an interview and claims "next" when he doesn't want to talk further on a subject. Then proceeds to boost any of his shoe contract dealings from $1 billion to $3 billion in true baller fashion.

This fuckin' guy. What an excellent villain. Make ridiculous claims, statements and demands to just transfer all that pressure onto your college-aged son who knows almost nothing about the real world. LaVar couldn't achieve a professional talent level to his liking so now he just has words and an unfortunate surrogate in Lonzo (whether he's aware of it or not). Some Willem Dafoe, Green Goblin shit is gonna go down with the Big Baller Brand,

Which speaking of, I like to think he came up with the name after binge watching episodes of Pimp My Ride. Kind of stuck in 2003 with that name. Plus, the initials "BBB" only stands for Bam Bam Bigelow in my mind. It's totally a baller move to tattoo your scalp in flames, then embrace those flames for your wrestling attire, do moonsaults when you're 400 pounds and bounty hunt in a previous life.

Also this was a disturbing revelation to come across when searching Google images:

Damn you, New York Jets, you actually signed this blowhard once upon a time?  Just haunting me past, present and future with poor decision making. I tell you, this franchise just comes at you from all angles.
